Snigdha applies a variety of actuarial and statistical modelling techniques to advise her clients in the health, general insurance and injury scheme sectors.

A skilled communicator, she works closely with a range of stakeholders, from boards to technical teams, across several complex public and private projects for regulators, insurers and self-insurers. She says:

“Building trust and understanding with clients means listening carefully and always being honest and transparent. This helps us build solutions that are truly catered to each client and improves their understanding of their business problems.”

Snigdha has extensive government experience across jurisdictions. This includes overseeing the outstanding claims liability valuation, premium estimates, funding forecasts and reform costing for a Commonwealth workers compensation scheme.

She also manages a reserving team for a federal reinsurer, having developed a liquidity model projecting its cash liquidity position under various scenarios.

In health, Snigdha developed a strong understanding of the aged care landscape in Australia through detailed assessments of government data and has expertise in microsimulation modelling – projecting the needs and benefit claims of people at an individual level for future years.

Snigdha’s Qualifications
  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
  • Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary
  • Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, ANU
