Kevin Fong
Director
Kevin is an actuary specialising in analytics projects that assist governments in making evidence-based policy decisions.
He is involved in all aspects of modelling to support an investment approach to public policy making, from initial design to implementation. Kevin has used his extensive technical skills as part of Taylor Fry’s ground-breaking work projecting lifetime pathways for vulnerable children and families to support the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. Kevin says:
“It’s exciting to have increasing amounts of data at our disposal and more advanced techniques to analyse it – but equally important to consider the simplest approach and not overcomplicate the solution to a client’s problem.”
Kevin’s work helps government understand long-term outcomes for vulnerable children and their families and the potential benefit of early intervention. He has also supported evaluations for several government intervention programs in Australia.
Kevin has experience working with key government datasets across health, disability, child protection, justice, housing, welfare and education.
